India and Indonesia have shared two millennia of close cultural-Manohar Lal
Indonesia's Ambassador to India, Ms. Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi met Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal Extensive discussions took place for strengthening the bilateral ties between Haryana and Indonesia
Chandigarh, Indonesia’s Ambassador to India, Ms Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi met Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, who paid a courtesy call at the Chief Minister’s residence in Chandigarh. Sh. Manohar Lal said that India and Indonesia have shared two millennia of close cultural and commercial contact.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister and Indonesia’s Ambassador had an extensive discussion on various topics for strengthening the bilateral ties between Haryana and Indonesia. Ms Krisnamurthi said we invite Haryana to invest in sectors like Pharma, FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), Medical and other commodity sectors in Indonesia so that we can accelerate the growth of these sectors for mutual growth.
Sh. Manohar Lal added that out of various models of businesses like B2B, G2G, B2G etc. we here in Haryana believe in the H2H model of working i.e. Heart to Heart. He assured Ms Krisnamurthi that possibilities of exploring other sectors of investment will also be discussed in other series of meetings at the administration level from both ends. He invited Indonesia to be part of the Gita Mahotsav festival and Suraj Craft Mela which is organised in Kurukshetra and Surajkund every year respectively. He said that Indonesia shares a long cultural bond with India and we look forward to nurturing the relationship by becoming partners in various sectors ensuring mutual benefits.
Ms Krisnamurthi highly appreciated the Chief Minister’s contribution in making Haryana as a sports hub. She said it is the consistent efforts of Sh. Manohar Lal that Haryana has the best sports infrastructure to offer to its players and also has succeeded in creating a harmonious environment for the budding players to enhance their skills and credentials. She said in future we will look forward to a sports exchange programme, as our players are extremely competent in games like Badminton and Table Tennis. The Chief Minister and Ambassador also discussed the opportunity to have a sister-sister relationship between Haryana and the province of Indonesia.
Indonesia’s Ambassador to India, Ms Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi presented a souvenir to Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal as a token of regard. Haryana Chief Minister presented the holy book of Bhagwad Gita to Indonesia’s Ambassador. During the meeting Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Government, Haryana, Art & Cultural Affairs Department, Sh. D. Suresh, Principal Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Yogender Chaudhry, Director General, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Anant Prakash Pandey, Advisor to the Chief Minister for Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Pawan Kumar Choudhary was present.
