IIT Kharagpur Honors Visionary Alumnus Prabhakar Singh at Golden Jubilee

New Delhi, May 24, 2025 – The Technology Alumni Association, Delhi Chapter of IIT Kharagpur, celebrated its Golden Jubilee by felicitating Shri Prabhakar Singh, former Director General of CPWD, for his transformative contributions to India’s infrastructure.
During his unprecedented three-term tenure, Singh drove a 2,500% growth in CPWD’s workload, overseeing landmark projects like the New Parliament Building and Central Vista redevelopment, lauded by former President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their quality and timeliness. A B.Tech (Hons.) graduate from IIT Kharagpur, Singh, dubbed “The Infrastructure Man of India” in 100 Great IITians, holds advanced degrees from MDI Gurgaon and IHS Rotterdam.
