INDRAPRASTHA GAS LIMITED ANNOUNCES RESULTS FOR FY 21

New Delhi : Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL), the largest CNG distribution company of the country, operating City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks across 27 districts in ten geographical areas across four states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan today announced its Q4 results and audited financial results for pandemic hit 2020-21. Showing a strong resurgence in Q4 of 2020-21, the company’s net profit for the quarter increased from Rs. 252.63 crores in corresponding period last year to Rs 332.08 crore in FY’21 showing an increase of 31%. During this period, IGL registered a turnover of Rs. 1700.52 crore as compared to Rs. 1697 crore in the corresponding period last year. Overall sales volume was 614 mmscm in Q4 of 2020-21 as compared to 567 mmscm in Q4 of 2019-20 showing a growth of 8%. While CNG registered sales volume growth of 7%, PNG showed overall sales volume growth of 11% during the quarter.

The company’s gross turnover was Rs. 5409 crores in FY 21 as compared to Rs. 7131 crores in FY 20 in the year heavily impacted by the nationwide lockdowns leading to highly restricted mobility on the roads. The net profit in FY 21 was Rs 1005 crores as compared to Rs 1135 crores in FY 20. The average daily gas sale during the fiscal was 5.33 mmscmd as compared to 6.44 mmscmd in FY 20 due to pandemic restrictions during major part of the year. The board has recommended a dividend of 180% for consideration of the members in Annual General Meeting.After consolidating the financial results of two associate companies, CUGL & MNGL, the consolidated net profit after tax of the company comes to Rs 1172 crores against consolidated profit of Rs 1248 crores in the previous year
