INDRAPRASTHA GAS LIMITED ANNOUNCES Q2 RESULTS

New Delhi, October 22, 2022: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the largest CNG distribution company in the country, operates City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks across 30 districts in eleven geographical areas across four states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan today announced its financial results for the second quarter of FY’23, showing a robust volume growth in the quarter despite an extraordinary jump in gas cost during the period. As per the unaudited Q2 results announced by the company for the quarter ending September 2022.

IGL registered an overall sales volume growth of 12% over the corresponding quarter in the last fiscal, with the average daily sale going up from 7.24 mmscmd to 8.09 mmscmd. Product-wise, CNG recorded a sales volume growth of 15%, while PNG recorded a sales volume growth of 3% in the quarter as compared to the corresponding quarter last year. Accordingly, the total gross sales value during the quarter has moved to Rs.3908.48 crore as compared to Rs.2005.07 crore during the second quarter of FY’23, thereby showing a growth of 95%. The net profit for the quarter ending IGL crore in the corresponding quarter in the last fiscal. These are standalone results for IGL only and do not include profits accruing from associate companies.
