EIL and NTPC Join Forces in Pioneering Green Business Sector

New Delhi, October 26, 2023: Engineers India Limited (EIL) and NTPC Limited have taken a significant step towards a sustainable future by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on October 25, 2023. This strategic partnership underscores EIL’s commitment to exploring opportunities in emerging Green Business segments and NTPC’s focus on clean energy initiatives.

Under the provisions of this MoA, EIL and NTPC will collaborate in multiple domains, including Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS), Green Fuel, Green Chemicals, encompassing Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Fertilizers, Bio-Fuels, Decarbonization, Waste Handling, Water, and Ash management. This alliance aims to accelerate India’s transition towards clean and sustainable energy solutions.

The MoA was officially sealed during a ceremony held at NTPC’s Corporate Office in New Delhi. The agreement was signed by Mr. Atul Gupta, Director (Commercial) of EIL, and Mr. Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya, Director (Projects) of NTPC Ltd. In attendance were distinguished figures including Mr. Jaikumar Srinivasan, Director (Finance) of NTPC Ltd., and Mr. Rajiv Agarwal, Director (Technical) of EIL, along with other senior officials from both organizations.

Ms. Vartika Shukla, CMD EIL, lauded the collaborative efforts of EIL and NTPC, emphasizing the far-reaching impact of their joint initiatives. She stated, “The collaborative work by EIL and NTPC has the potential to catalyze the efforts in the areas of Clean Fuels and Green chemicals towards achieving India’s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) within the defined timeline.”

This momentous partnership between EIL and NTPC is poised to be a driving force behind India’s sustainable energy future, aligning with the nation’s environmental goals and international commitments.
