Driving Leadership Excellence in Public Sector


12th February 2025: Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India, have signed an agreement with McKinsey & Company and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad to launch DAKSH, a pioneering Leadership Development Program. The program is designed to nurture future-ready leaders in the public sector by focusing on aspiration, knowledge, succession, and harmony.
The agreement was signed by Shri Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE; Shri S.P. Roy, Joint Secretary, CBC; Prof. Saral Mukherjee, Chairperson, Executive Education, IIM Ahmedabad; and Shri Amit Khera, Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company. The event was attended by Shri Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, CBC, Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman, SCOPE, and other senior representatives.

DAKSH is crafted to address the evolving challenges faced by senior officials, equipping them with critical skills to lead in today’s dynamic environment. With McKinsey as the consultancy partner and IIM Ahmedabad as the academic collaborator, the program will empower public sector leaders to navigate volatility and drive sustainable success.
This initiative marks a significant step toward building resilient leadership and enhancing the capacity of board-level officials in public enterprises.
