CADD’s Venture Dreamzone Made History in Guinness World Record

Targets to Open 200 New Centres in North India by 2020

Delhi, : DreamZone, India’s premier institute of creative studies, from the CADD Centre Group, has made an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for organising a single continuous fashion show that had “the most designers to present” their designs. While making the official announcement here today, the Institute has unveiled its ambitious growth plans for North India, which includes opening 200 new centres in the Northern States by 2020. DreamZone currently has over 100 centres across India, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Commenting about the Guinness record, Mr S Karaiadi Selvan, Managing Director, DreamZone, said, “It is one of our ambitious initiatives to bestow a world recognition on India’s young creative talent in the fashion domain. Such demonstrations would help our designers to grab the attention of leading fashion designers and brands across the globe. It will also create awareness and encourage many youngsters to step into the booming fashion design industry. I congratulate the students and trainers of DreamZone. I thank the volunteers and sponsors of the event for helping us set the world record.”

The fashion show, Vibes360 Brand Runway, featured 357 designers. Two hundred and thirty models hit the runway, wearing 1,205 items of clothing. The fashion show lasted for 25 hours and 10 minutes, and backed an “unique record” in the Guinness history, for being one of the longest fashion shows.More than 200 hair & makeup artists and over 1,500 volunteers were involved in the making of the world record. India’s leading models and designers including Prince Phinehas, Shalini Visakan, Mehendi Jashnani, Harine Suresh, and K. Mobina attended the event.

The Guinness made the official announcement of the new world record on June 20, 2019. The event took place during December 23-24, 2018 at Confluence Convention, Banquets and Resort in ECR, Chennai. The fashion show offered a platform also for fashion diploma students of DreamZone to showcase their collections that ranged from casual, party, avant-garde and haute couture with much glitz, glamour and creativity.Talking about the expansion plans for North India, Mr Selvan said that DreamZone targets to open 200 new centres by 2020, creating hundreds of entrepreneurs, and training thousands of professionals for various creative fields. In addition to the School of Fashion Design, the new centres will provide the training in  School of Interior Design, School of Animation & Graphics, School of Jewelry Design, and School of Web Design & Development. DreamZone offers high quality, industry oriented courses that are recognized by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID), Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), International Animated Film Society (ASIFA Hollywood), and the International Council of Design (ICO-D).
