Rishikesh, The inauguration of Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 took place at THDC India Limited’s Ganga Bhawan Corporate Office in Rishikesh. Mr. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman & Managing Director of THDCIL, led the event, accompanied by esteemed directors, including Mr. J. Behera and Mr. Shallinder Singh. The ceremony commenced with the Integrity Pledge administered to employees, aligning with the Central Vigilance Commission’s annual observance of Vigilance Awareness Week during Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday week.
This year’s theme, “Say No to Corruption, Commit to the Nation,” guided the week’s activities from October 30 to November 5, 2023. Notably, a booklet titled “सजगता एवं सतर्कता; राष्ट्र हित के लिए प्रतिबद्धता,” stressing the commitment to vigilance and integrity for the nation’s benefit, was unveiled by Mr. Behera and Mr. Singh during the momentous occasion.
Additionally, at the Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP), Mr. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), administered the Integrity Pledge during his inspection visit at the Alaknanda Puram campus and project sites. Key individuals such as Mr. Atul Jain, Mr. R. N. Singh, Mr. K. K. Singhal, and other senior employees were present during this inspection.
Mr. Vishnoi emphasized that Vigilance Awareness Week at THDC India Limited is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics for the nation’s welfare. THDCIL stands as a significant power generator in the country, boasting an installed capacity of 1587 MW across various projects in Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala.
