According to sources cited by NewsIP, two key positions at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)—Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) and Director (Marketing)—are likely to be assigned on an interim basis to senior officials currently serving within the company.
Insiders reveal that Sanjay Khanna may be given the additional charge of CMD, while Rajkumar Dubey is expected to be entrusted with the additional responsibility of Director (Marketing).
It is noteworthy that the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), after conducting interviews for the CMD post, did not find any candidate suitable and therefore made no recommendation. However, PESB did recommend Shubhankar Sen for the Director (Marketing) position.
In light of these developments, BPCL appears to be considering internal arrangements to ensure continuity in leadership while the process for regular appointments proceeds.
