An external investigation committee is being constituted to investigate the root cause of NRL Fire-OIL

Oil India Limited promptly reacted to the fire break out in Numaligarh Refinery Limited’s Hydrocraker Unit in Asaam, late night top label source communication made to newsip said that an Assessment of damage has not been done yet. There is no personal injury or fatality in the incident. The nearby Hydrogen unit has been shut down as a precautionary measure. Oil India CMD will be visiting on the spot today.
A fire broke out at the Numaligarh Refinery Limited’s Hydrocraker Unit (HCU) in vessel Number VV-04 at approximately 19:20 hours today, i.e., 29.05.2023. The vessel is a cold high-pressure separator. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes from the break out. However, as per firefighting protocol, cooling through water spraying is still being carried out.
