New Delhi: On the occasion of World Breast Awareness Week from 1st August 2020 to 7th August 2020, HR department of State Bank of India, Local Head office, New Delhi, organized an awareness program through Webinar on 7thAugust in association with Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi.
The target audiences of the Webinar were young lady staff members especially those who are on maternity and sabbatical leave for child care. State Bank of India, the largest bank of the nation, has always been a forerunner in taking care of its employees especially ladies and has been proactive in taking necessary welfare measures for its staff members. The program was inaugurated by Ms Jyoti Kumari, senior IRS officer and wife of Shri Vijuy Ronjan, Chief General Manager, Delhi Circle. Ms Jyoti in her keynote address highlighted the importance of Breastfeeding and health benefits it reaps especially for the working ladies who have to manage the work-life balance. Senior Gynecologist Dr Ranjana Sharma enlightened the audiences on the importance of Breastfeeding for the health of the mother and her baby. She emphasized on the importance of nutrition, family attention, care and mental peace for the healthy start of an infant’s life. She also clarified many doubts which were raised during the session. Her session was highly appreciated by all the staff members present in the webinar.
