State Bank of India Celebrates International MSME Day

New Delhi: State Bank of India celebrated the spirit of MSME, on the eve of International MSME day, today across all states. On this occasion the State Bank of India, New Delhi Circle carried out numerous activities during the day. Around 1500 customers have sanctioned loans under GECL scheme on this day, a product of Government of India Guaranteed ECLGS in different states covered by Delhi Circle. More than 100 loan applications were received under various government schemes like Stand-Up India and PMEGP were scrutinized and processed at different SME loan processing cells. 37 e-Meetings were held in Delhi circle with around 500 meetings across India by the bank. The e-Town hall Meetings with MSME customers were organized with a theme of “Power of Small – Uncovering the Potential” across all Regional Business Offices of Delhi circle and the support made available by way of various products in COVID-19, were brought out to customers. Bank’s SME products were also highlighted to the customers to increase awareness and enable them to choose the right product for their business. The meetings had an engagement of around 750 customers in Delhi and during the meeting, Bank received several suggestions and feedback from the customers. Many customers appreciated the efforts proactively undertaken by SBI to help MSME sector in rebuilding their businesses during the COVID pandemic.

SBI’s Managing Director (R&DB) Shri. C.S. Setty inaugurated the meeting, through Video Conferencing, which was attended by Bank’s MSME customers and employees across the nation.

Chief General Manager, Delhi Circle, Sh. Vijuy Ronjan thanked its customers and wished well on International MSME Day for their business while committing unhindered support by SBI in times to come.
